Andy Page 2nd

Congratulations to Andy Page who finished second in the 3rd cat race at Portsmouth on Wednesday. Mark Warrington was 10th and Fraser Nurse 21st the 3rd cat race.
Toby was 9th in the elite race.
Young Conrad Dinwiddy made his debut for the club in the youth race.
Any Page reports ... "I attacked from the gun, it was only a 25minute race and it would be a waste of time to warm up properly ! I quickly gained a 100m+ gap before being reeled in after a couple of laps. After a 5min rest I went again and gained a similar gap and held it for 3-4 laps before being pulled back in again. Several attacks and groups of riders tried to get away and I tried to bridge a few but the bunch again pulled it back together. With 5 minutes to go it was clear the finish was a bunch effort and so the final lap loomed, with half a lap to go I moved away from the inside line so I would not get bunched in only to be thanked at the end by the winner for letting him through ! maybe I will try the inside line next week ! then managed 2nd , place half a bike length down."

Ronde Van Vlaanderen

It's the biggest, most important road race of the year on Sunday. De Ronde Van Vlaanderen. Eurosport is showing live coverage. So break out the Leffe, turn off the 'phone, settle down on the sofa and enjoy. Or, better still, hop on the ferry ...
Last year Stijn Devolder won in a lone break wearing the champion of Belgium's jersey.
