Portsdown TT league start list

The Portsdown TT leange kicks off on Saturday at Soberton at 2pm.
Mark Warrington, Fraser Nurse, Dave Lack, Andy Matthews, Richard Bevan, Angus Peel, Alastair Mallett, Mike Miles, Mike Marchant, Rob Fields, Pete McGuiness, Shaun Smart, Toby Neave and Stephen Hasler all ride.

It says on the Fareham site that the course record was set by Rob Hayles at 22:55, but I'm certain Tony Mayer went round in under 21 minutes in 1982. When you ride on Saturday you'll appreciate how impressive that was. It was just before he finished 10 seconds behind ex-Raleigh professional Dave Lloyd in the national 25 mile championships. At the time Dave Lloyd was destroying the opposition up and down the country in time trials. Lloyd was riding a special time trial bike and Tony had a bog standard road bike.
