Time Trialling races coming up
For those of you who want to thrash yourself around a 10 mile TT on Boxing Day, Bognor Regis CC are running a fancy dress event starting at 11.00 on 26/12. The HQ and start are at the Spur pub on the hill above Slindon on the A29. Although it is supposed to be fancy dress, most competitors ride cunningly disguised as racing cyclists! It is entry on the line, £2 to £3. The course runs from Slindon to Fontwell, left along the A27 to Arundel, first left at the Arundel west RAB, up the hill to the Whiteways RAB, first left onto the A29 and return to Slindon to finish.
Something for your diaries. The first early 2009 season events in this area are the GS Stella weekend. There is a 18k TT on 31/01 and a 34k TT on 01/02. Both are open events and must be entered in advance on a CTT entry form (copies of the form can be downloaded from the Southdown Velo web site). The organiser is Mark Jones, 55 Pulborough Road, Storrington, RH20 4HG.
